The Global Talent visa main applicant fee is payable in two parts: the endorsement fee and the visa & immigration health surcharge fee. A break down of these can be found in below.
If a family application is being submitted (including dependants in the same application form) the visa fees, and the Immigration Health (NHS) Surcharge, will each be charged as one combined fee which cannot be split across more than one payment card. Any refunds (in the event of a withdrawn application, or overpayment of NHS Surcharge) will be returned to the card used for payment but this can sometimes take up to 2-3 months. Applicants may want to contact their bank before they pay large visa fees on their card to avoid this possibly being stopped or delayed as an unusually large purchase.
The University of Oxford reimbursement policy webpage sets out which of these costs can be covered by the employing department/ faculty college.
The University also provides a Visa Loan Scheme to can help applicants with the costs of visa, ILR, and citizenship applications. As the Visa Loan Scheme is administered through the University payroll system it is not, unfortunately, available to those with 'college only' appointments.
The following table shows the cost of the initial Global talent endorsement and visa fees. Immigration Health surcharge (£400 per year, based on the duration of the visa) is added on top of this.
The following table shows the cost of Global Talent, visa and leave to remain applications for both the main applicant and dependants. Immigration Health surcharge (£400 per year, based on the duration of the visa) is added on top of this.
Please see the Global talent extension pages for more information on the application process and requirements.
Those applying under Global Talent, and their dependants, will have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (NHS Surcharge) in addition to the relevant visa application fees when submitting their visa application(s).
