The Immigration Health (NHS) surcharge increase (from £200 to £400 per year) takes effect from today, 8 January 2019.
This will not be applied retrospectively to those who have applied for their visa before 8 January 2019, however, it will apply when they go to extend their visa, or apply under another category.
