This route will continue to support senior appointments; Professor, Associate Professor or Senior Group Leaders, who are responsible for academic, research or innovation leadership.
Additionally emerging leaders, who are directing a research or innovation project or programme of work, will be eligible.
The recruitment requirements have also been significantly improved
- Removed the requirement for an external panel member, as long as 1 expert in the applicant’s field from the employing institute is on the panel
- Reduce the requirement to 3 academic representatives from the employment institute on the panel. One of these 3 can be the member that is expert in the applicant’s field.
- Reduced the requirement to 2 references received
